A Quick Roundup

hello people. yeah, yeah, i know i’ve been neglecting my blog. but things have been pretty hectic lately despite the fact that i am jobless (technically). of course, it doesn’t help that i’ve fallen sick. not getting much sleep, being unemployed and slacking away, and eating a whole bunch of deep fried food without drinking much fluids has contributed to that.

things i did over the past week:

• signed the papers with HDB. i would be starting work this coming monday. good luck to me!
• did the mandatory medical checkup for the new job. found out that my blood pressure is slightly lower than desired.
• enjoyed a nice swedish massage. the masseuse was freakishly strong for a woman! mental note: start going for massages and spa treatments regularly.
• realised that nothing beats having a cold beer on a sunny afternoon with the sea breeze caressing your face. not having a care in the world helps. discovered a great pub this way. it’s a german place at vivocity called “brotzeit”.
• taught web design to a bunch of people.
• did web design, of course.
• watched the new movie, tmnt. it sucked. that’s two hours of my life i’m never getting back.
• checked out the new manhattan fish market at central, clarke quay. the food wasn’t spectacular, but i liked the ambience. you get to dine al fresco style two levels up by the river.
• other restaurants i went to: the rice table (orchard), nydc (wheelock place), nihon mura (revenue house), al dente trattoria (great world city), bakerzin (vivocity), modesto’s (vivocity)

right. that’s a quick roundup for the past week. i’m gonna run some errands and get more work done. be back soon!
