Hi Elaine,

If you're traveling alone, it's best to stay in a safe hotel, preferably with rooms accessible by key-cards and not keys! If you wanna take extra precaution, I have seen an alarm door stopper on the market. Whenever people try to open your door, the alarm would sound. So far I haven't had any problems with hotels and even hostels before.

Good luck and enjoy your adventure!

Hello,
Inspired by the stories of solo travelling, i booked ticket for a 6 days trip to Sydney. But now i worried abt the safety part, cos' this is the first time i'll staying alone in a hotel. Is there anything i need to look out for or any particular lock i can purchase for precaution? Thanks.

see a lot of interests in the doraemon shop :-)

My girlfriend is a huge fan of doraemon too!

For Singapore friends, the doraemon clock can be found near the bus interchange of Tampines MRT. I think it's a shop selling clocks/ watches opp. the Macdonald. Mine you, do not use good batteries as it will burn the circuits. As for the huge doraemon soft toy, a lot of places selling, e.g. Plaza Singapura, IMM, etc.

ah! so many pictures once again! One tip though, on close ups, put your cam slightly further away than you are used to and zoom in. if not the images will be ever so slightly out of focus. tact sharp images are always nice. =)

i see that its so much fun, though tiring to walk around in a big city alone. indeed, bangkok is a safe city and there will always be security around all the tourist districts. seems like this trip is one gigantic shopping spree for yourself. and looks like alot of fun. oh well, i'll look forward to your daily entries.

and that icon for hungry. really cute.
