I guess many of us are upset with these tuk-tuk drivers because they take us to these places without our permission. When we're on their vehicle already we are completely at their mercy. When I am touring a country, the time I get to spend there is always very limited. The last thing I need is any interruption that would disrupt my entire schedule for the day, especially when I need to get to a place by a certain time (temples and other religious and touristy places tend to have predesignated closing hours). And oh, I did get to visit the Grand Palace the following day! So I came back a happy girl after all :) Hey Nat, I’m glad that you are not too bothered with those jewelry store detours.
