it’s amazing how sweet people can be sometimes :)
to make sure i never forget how special this birthday has been, i’m gonna list down all my favorite moments:
- getting two ang pow (red packets) from my parents. they do this every year with handwritten notes on the back of each ang pow. i appreciate very much the fact that they don’t ever forget.
- being a panelist at the IPRS 2.0 conference (it happened to fall on my birthday!). it’s the first time i’ve been asked to participate in a panel discussion. i shared my thoughts and experience in collaborating with public relations professionals in promoting events and reviewing products through my blog.
- a friend surprising me with delicious and beautiful mini cakes from blue magnolia (which i’ve reviewed previously) delivered right to my place at almost midnight!
- all the colleagues in my unit staying back after work to celebrate my birthday. it was a total surprise and very sweet gesture! they even had a chocolate cake for me, plus wine that we decided not to drink since we’re all sober civil servants.
- receiving a handwritten birthday card from the director of my department. there are more than 200 of us in this department, yet i think he writes a card for everyone on their birthday!
- receiving flowers! my favorite pink daisies!
- drinking beer and eating delicious satay by the sea at danga bay! totally relaxing and blissful :)
- all the comments left by you guys *hugs* this past year has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling for sparklette.net. site traffic has soared to 2000 unique visitors daily and i can only thank you for that.
- birthday wishes received: countless! and that includes the people whom i never expect would remember.
- birthday songs: 5, with one sexy rendition by the uber-hawt i.z..
- cute birthday gift: pink mini fridge! i can’t decide whether to keep it in my room or at my workplace. anyhow, i’m gonna load it with fruits, chocolate and beer. any other suggestion? please leave a comment!

You had very wonderful bday! The fridge color is so sweet. Great if you could post this cute fringe after it being filled up all lovely foods one day ^^. Hm….may be u can place it in yr workplace..can have something to refresh yourself when u’re stress/tired/bore during work. Hm..what about add in indulged dessert/mini cakes/candies/milk/fresh juice/ yorgurt/choc chips (sprinkle some on top your cakes/ice-cream) & etc…..except food, may be can put your eyemask *relax~* haha….opps..wrote too much!
