Dave Koz

i practically grew up listening to kenny g’s music. but recently, i fell in love with another saxophonist. his name is dave koz.

comparing between the two saxophonists, kenny g’s instrumentals are slightly “smoother”. his music also tends towards the sentimental and melancholic side. whereas for dave koz, there is more funk and bounce in his music. it kinda has a pop feel to it, and sometimes r&b.

another thing about dave koz is that i think he is very sexy. but then again i think kenny g is sexy too. i probably just have this thing for saxophonists. oh yeah, dave koz just happens to be gay too.

this following track is called “love changes everything”. it’s rather catchy, and has the background vocals of brian mcknight, who is none other than my most favorite male soul balladeer.

    6. Fusion of R&B and saxaphone…pretty groovy. I could totally see Koz playing at some classy new restaurant. He’s got the Clooney thing going too. Understated charisma.

Kenny’s still great though. But as you said, wanting, he sounds soulful and melancholic…a different artiste for a different mood, right? View all comments by harrison
