yeah all along i’ve been referring to the baby kitty as a “he”, until i discovered six tiny nipples on her belly. so cute! so it’s official then. baby kitty is a girl!
i have had to bathe her quite a lot. cats don’t normally like to get wet, but i’m thinking if they are used to getting bathed since young, they would be fine with it. in fact, baby kitty seems to enjoy it quite a lot! she doesn’t make a big fuss when bathing, or when she’s being towel dried.

she turns ten days old today! her left eye is semi-open already so i’m hoping both eyes would be open by tomorrow. can’t wait! i hope she has big, big eyes. i even got her a mini milk bottle for small animals so that she could drink from it more easily.

no one in my family is willing or able to look after her, so currently i’m caring for her single-handedly and it’s exhausting. i don’t get enough sleep at all. it’s as good as being a single mom!

goes by the name veron (english) or wanting (chinese). a definitive leo born august 1, 1984. a solo traveler. loves cats, coffee, sensual music, yummy food and technology. when she's not at her job as an IS developer for the government, she's likely to be out dining, or visiting an interesting art gallery or event.

Ooo, well, nipples aren’t a sure way to tell if it’s a boy or a girl ’cause both genders have nipples, only when they’re older, they’re more prominate on females for the obvious reasons.
Here’s a page of some information I looked up that might help, including a small chart on sexing.

That might help, and it still might be too early to tell. I’ve read stories where it took months before people positively knew. You can always google for more info on it, but be wary of those dirty porn sites. :P View all comments by Mandy

ry, kitty’s at the moment referred to as moo moo cat, named for her cow-like patches. but most of the time i just call her baby kitty. View all comments by Veron
gary, thanks for the encouragement! i think you’re right about the skating too :) View all comments by Veron
hey birdface, yeah i’m spending quite some time caring for the baby. but i’m also trying to manage my other duties too. not handling it very well, but trying my best. View all comments by Veron
hey here’s my humble advice. dun bathe the kitty too often… perhaps once a month sld be enough. (mine had died from “over-bathing” at the age of 4mth). Also buy special milk formula from pet shops… and keep the kitty warm all times. Cheers.
