Aspirasa - Awesome Ayam Penyet! — ever since the advent of the wildly popular ayam penyet (smashed fried chicken) from indonesia, many indonesian and muslim eateries have started selling the dish here. of the numerous ones i have tried, my personal favorite can be found at ABC market.
  • September 12, 2007: Best Satay - Literally the Best SatayBest Satay - Literally the Best Satay — besides ayam penyet, another favored hawker-type food of mine is definitely satay (meat skewers)! for 5 years i have been patronising stalls 7 and 8 at lau pa sat, where both the food and service exceed expectations!

  • September 26, 2007: Where in the World is This Miniature Model?Where in the World is This Miniature Model? — i found an incredibly detailed miniature model of singapore in the mid-18th century. in the model, there are tiny human figurines going about their daily business, such as coolies unloading goods from junks, people playing cards by the shoreline, and spectators watching an opera show. can you guess where i found it?
