Was at the rice table Indonesian restaurant recently and I really loved the food! I like their unique concept where they serve all the twenty different dishes of food in small portions once we are seated. This way, we get to sample each and every single dish at the beginning, before ordering the ones that suit our taste buds more.

Most of the dishes were spicy. Other than the kangkong belachan, the other vegetable dishes like the eggplant and vegetable stew did not appeal to me. All chicken dishes were great though. I especially liked the chicken satay (sate ayam)…

The sweet and sour fried fish (ikan goreng)…

And the grilled chicken (ayam panggang)! Yum yum.

The next time I return to the rice table, I would go during lunch hours instead. The lunch buffet is six dollars cheaper than the dinner buffet. The only difference is that the lunch buffet has six dishes less than the dinner buffet. But well, they are the ones that I wouldn’t mind missing.

Hi Veron since i saw quite a few entry on Indonesian food… I was surprised you didn’t have an entry on Tambuah Mas at Paragon.

Their Tahu telur is the best, you can actually eat the tahu filling in it and with the all times favorite sweet sauce.

Their curry fish head, oxtail soup, satay and avocado juice are also well recommended.

If you have any chance and feel like eating something home cooked and delicious… maybe you should go try tambuah mas with their newly renovated outlet at paragon.

    cheers! :)
