The atmosphere is so unic, and calm, there’s no way you can feel upset in there. xD

Hmm… The sweet fish is probably grilled Unagi (freshwater eel) and the part that makes it sweet is teriyakai sauce. That’s just my gut feeling. It’s my favourite fish in Japanese cuisine! And yes, Sake is awesome! What a way to enjoy a meal. Sounds like you had a really good time!

I had ramen for starters, then we had a bit of everything: sushi “for dummies” (LOL), sashimi of salmon,tuna, and a fish that was very sweet but I’m still trying to find out what it was, I had tempura too… Oh I almost forgot, warm Sake is awsome! I totally recomend it! ;) and the desserts of course!!! Next time we’re heading for the grilled fish and the curry!

Thanks for leaving your first comment! Wow, I’m glad you got to try Japanese cuisine and love it. What did you have? Yes, Goma ice cream is my favourite kind of Japanese dessert, too. I still remember visiting Kyoto and we had our ice cream from an alley shop while going uphill to a temple. We were practically baking in the 40C summer heat, and licking the Goma ice cream on its cone really felt like the best thing on earth! Hehe

My name is Carla and i’m from Portugal. I’ve been reading your Blog for ages and finally I found the inspiration to comment on your posts.
Last week I went to a japanese restaurant and following some of your advices I had one of the best meals in my life! The highest point of the meal was definitely the Goma (OH-MY-GOD-THAT-TASTES-AMAZING). Thanks to you I’m starting to know the world of japanese food! YEY!!!!

py: I think your friend would love the udon. I’m not even a fan of udon but this one impressed me! I heard the cold one is better than the hot one too.

phylla: Ohhh I love codfish! Thanks for the recommendation! Not so much of a green tea person so I’ll give the Maccha Ice Kuzukiri a pass! Yup the service was good and dedicated. It also helps that head chef Ken was there to offer us his own personal recommendations!

Probably next time you can tried their Gindara Yaki Set. They say is Cod fish with miso. It taste just nice. So is their Maccha Ice Kuzukiri. Jus tt the bad point of the desert is it was slight melted when serve. Think i was out for too long before serving.
Service is not too bad. Jus tt I feel quite a lot of ppl (waitress/wiater) looking at us eating, coz the restaurant is quite empty when we went there.

Thanks for this review. I have a friend who likes udon, will definitely consider taking my friend here to try the udon when my friend returns to Singapore.
