So it’s come to that point in time where you have to make a decision on which university to apply to. Your choice of university will impact your life socially and professionally, and it’s of utmost importance that you make a wise decision.
How do you do it? I remember that time some years back when I had to make this important choice on my own. Apart from deciding whether to go abroad or to attend a local university, finding a course that matched my strengths and interests was crucial to me. I also considered carefully about other factors such as the surroundings, the university culture, and the whole student experience. After all, this was a place that I will have to put up with for three years. As pamphlets and websites can only do so much, I attended several open houses to glean personal insights from the undergrads themselves who were happy to share their experiences. To hear it straight from someone that had actually been there and done it was tremendously helpful.
That is why I’m recommending this video today.
Ivory Yeo is a biological science student with the CN Yang Scholars Programme at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore, one of the top universities in the world. With a passion for cancer research coupled with an inner desire to help other people, she decided that NTU was the place for her.
There’s more to that of course. So watch this video to find out more of what helped her in her decision, and it may help you make yours as well.
This post has been sponsored by NTU, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
