i have been contemplating whether to spend any time blogging on the mushroom pot. my dining experience at this restaurant was so excruciatingly bad i didn’t really want to remember it, much less talk about it. but then i decided — because it was so bad, all the more i have to warn my readers about this place! so here goes.

we were at the singapore indoor stadium for the coldplay concert. there was time to kill before the concert started so we decided to have dinner at the mushroom pot. when it comes to dining at the stadium there isn’t much of a choice. among the few restaurants there we thought the mushroom pot looked the most interesting.

little did we know that we were in for a great disappointment. i have only harsh words for this place.

yes it’s over. it really is. after 15 years of slogging (or rather slacking), i am officially no longer a student. i have finally graduated!

the commencement ceremony was held yesterday night. i was dead beat the whole day from not having enough sleep. luckily my boss allan was kind enough to let me leave work early. phew! so i rushed home, got my gown ready, and went down to the university cultural center with my parents just in time for the ceremony.

coldplay’s year-long “twisted logic” tour finally came to singapore! and i was one of the lucky souls who caught their one-off concert at the singapore indoor stadium last night! it was an awesome concert and in every way spectacular. i think i would be hung over on coldplay for the next few weeks at least!

that’s right. i stayed up all night to catch the match. can’t say i’m too thrilled about the results. i never liked matches to be won on penalty shootouts.

when the match went into penalties, i knew that france’s chances were slim. barthez wouldn’t be able to save one shot. manchester united fans would never forget this fumbling clown!

some interesting world cup trivia: did you know that world cup winners only get to keep their trophy until the next tournament? this trophy is made of solid gold, and engraved with the year and name of each tournament winner on the bottom.

so in four years’ time, italy would have to surrender this precious gold trophy back to fifa and get a gold-plated one as a replacement. haha!

how many of you out there love ferrero rochers? i know i do. at any one time there would always be a couple of boxes of this beautifully wrapped chocolate candy stashed away at my place.

the thing with the rocher is that not only is it sinfully delicious, it also comes in so many layers. you can savor it layer by layer, or pop the whole chocolatey goodness into your mouth and chew it down greedily at one go.

once you carefully peel open the gold foil, there are so many ways to eat the rocher. therefore one is never enough! i would not be blogging about this yummy piece of chocolate however, but a super distant cousin that looks just as yummy, and i promise would not add anything to your hips.
