i had thoughts of shutting down this blog as it’s becoming apparent that my interest in blogging is dwindling. but then again, this site has allowed me many opportunities in voicing my thoughts, engaging in various discussions, making new friends, and having jobs and projects of many kinds, with design being the main.

that said, designing for clients can get extremely frustrating. people don’t realise the amount of work that is put into each and every element of the page layout. they expect work to be done and changes to be made at the snap of the finger. adding small shadows and shading, choosing the perfect font out of thousands others, hours and more hours of trial-and-error in aligning and spacing all the elements, and tons of other stuff not mentioned. all these cost a lot of time and effort but usually go unnoticed and unappreciated anyway.

whenever i design a website, i use hundreds of layers in photoshop. literally hundreds. yet after all this jumbo work, clients would always want to make amendments, simply because they don’t “like” the design. and the same process is repeated all over again.

kitty is doing great and her eyes are open! i’ve been letting her crawl around the house a bit so that she may learn to walk soon. but she’s so tiny that she gets lost all the time. so i let her wear a bell and it doesn’t seem to bother her at all.

yeah all along i’ve been referring to the baby kitty as a “he”, until i discovered six tiny nipples on her belly. so cute! so it’s official then. baby kitty is a girl!

i have had to bathe her quite a lot. cats don’t normally like to get wet, but i’m thinking if they are used to getting bathed since young, they would be fine with it. in fact, baby kitty seems to enjoy it quite a lot! she doesn’t make a big fuss when bathing, or when she’s being towel dried.

i just fed the little baby, and he drank all his milk! that’s a first! usually he just cries nonstop and most of the milk just drips away. now i think he’s finally getting the hang of sucking and drinking from the dropper. i’m so proud of him! i even spot a little bulging milk belly on him. yay!

actually i can’t be sure whether it’s a “him”. the two guys who played with the kitty the other night said that it’s a boy-cat. but i think it’s a girl-cat. i can’t be sure!

i’m exhausted!

can’t get much sleep at all because i have to watch the baby constantly. and it gets so difficult to feed him. he cries and struggles nonstop during feeding and it’s hard getting him to actually drink the milk. the dropper is too big for his tiny mouth and his mouth rarely opens so most of the milk ends up dripping away. i wonder how much milk he actually drinks.

i can’t really go out anymore. luckily these few days i don’t have lessons. but come monday and tuesday, i would have to be in school for the whole day. i don’t know how i can take care of the kitty then. and no one else in the family even dares to touch him because he’s too tiny and too fragile. mom is trying to get me to find someone to adopt him but i love him to bits. besides i don’t exactly trust other people to take care of him. taking care of a small kitten is one thing. taking care of a baby kitten with eyes that aren’t even open is a different thing altogether.
