had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night. i slept a grand total of just one hour, and spent the rest of it chatting online and waiting for kevin to come pick me up at 5am. i must say he was very kind to have done so, especially since he slept about as little as i did, and had work today.

we reached the airport super early and went for breakfast at burger king. by then i was starting to feel tired and was wondering how i could make it through the rest of the day. anyway we had coffee later on, the first of many caffeine dosages to come.

i am damn freakin’ nervous! feeling totally disorganised and i had only just done my packing. so sure that something will go wrong. maybe my name isn’t on the flight passenger list, or i lose all my money and my mobile phone in hong kong and have no one to turn to. but if nothing goes wrong, i should be blogging from hong kong this time tomorrow. i have auto-roaming too. so feel free to contact me anytime!

i recall feeling the same way the night before i left for thailand last december. when traveling with other people, i don’t worry much. but when going solo, i really have to be on full alert all the time. in times of trouble, i’m pretty much on my own. don’t know a single soul in hong kong. so i really pray that nothing goes wrong.

the flight is at 8am man. gotta wake up at 4am! kill me please.

i had dinner with danny at niqqi’s the cheese prata shop. it’s been a long while since i’ve been there even though it’s so near the campus, whereas the dude goes there practically everyday. i am beginning to love the indian stall though. actually i love indian food, and muslim food too.

that’s the roti prata plaster. the indian seller spent some time explaining what it was. in the end i didn’t really get it. i guess it’s just egg wrapped in roti prata. it was good!

having procrastinated for so long, i finally decided to upload this new layout. i finished this over a month ago but had been too lazy and tied up with work to get it up. but anyway here it is — version 10 of sparklette.net, titled “how far is heaven?“.

some lyrics featured come from the song “heaven” by the los lonely boys. i love that song a lot. it’s sad, yet joyful at the same time. the person lying down on the meadow is yours truly. this picture was taken from one of my modeling shoots by photographer, adam.

for more than a week, i have been eating my own home-cooked pasta everyday! and i’m still totally loving it! i never knew i would enjoy cooking so much. besides, pasta seems to be a pretty healthy food.

of course, i’m not the greatest cook in the world and i certainly do not know how to make my own pasta sauce from scratch. but who needs that when we’ve got instant delicious pasta sauces from prego?
