Data Sparklette Collects
A visitor may respond to an article or a comment posted on our website. If the author so chooses, the comment may include personally identifiable information, and that information will be posted online along with the rest of the comment. In general, however, we do not recommend that blog comments include personally identifiable information.
Sparklette occasionally runs contests in collaboration with our partners. We may collect certain information from contestants, including personally identifiable information. We may list contestant names in online or other public notices of contest winners. We may also use contest entries (videos, photos, blogs, etc.) for public marketing purposes, and we may include contestant names and other personally identifiable information with those entries.
Visitor Number Tracking
Sparklette makes use of website traffic analytic tools to track the number of visitors to our website, as well as the pages they visit within the sites and the hyperlinks they use (if any) to leave. The information recorded includes IP addresses, type of browser, date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user movements around the site, and gather demographic information. This does not involve collection of any personally identifiable information. We use this information to analyse interest in and usage of the website.
Data Provided Through Contact Forms
Website visitors can fill out a contact form on the website. This form requests individual name and email address. We use this information solely to respond to the visitors.
