I Made It to Mensa!
A piece of good news came in the mail today. I had taken an IQ test a couple months back and the results came in. They are positive and I am now eligible to join Mensa! For those who have never heard of Mensa…
Mensa was founded in England in 1946 by Roland Berrill, a barrister, and Dr. Lance Ware, a scientist and lawyer. They had the idea of forming a society for bright people, the only qualification for membership of which was a high IQ. The original aims were, as they are today, to create a society that is non-political and free from all racial or religious distinctions. The society welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population, with the objective of enjoying each other”s company and participating in a wide range of social and cultural activities.

Okay, I know there’s gonna be people reading this and thinking “yeah, like that’s a big deal”, and coincidentally (or not) they would tend to be guys. Well you know what? It IS a big deal, thank you very much.
I always get male chauvinists that try to argue with me over things they don’t even have a clue about, and only because they can’t stand losing to a girl in an argument. It gets bloody annoying.
Next time I’ll just slap them with my Mensa card.

i think the weght loss is more due to a loss of fluids? I don’t know. yet tanning does make one sweat a great deal right?

hey, i’m a 18 years old girl, I’m french …I’ve made the orientative test of mensa and I had 16 over 18 answers correct in 8 minuts …they told me I have to do the supervisated test to get into mensa…but actually I dunno what to do.
I’ve entered in mensa.org because some teachers of my uni think i’m specially bright. I know since always that i’m different. I get usually bored talking with people. I think that everything is so slow and I prefer to study on my own. I’m very creative and i’m interesed in a lot of thinks. I can’t offent sleep at night because I prefer to play at chess.
My english is not the best but I’m actually asking you to explain how did you knew you were gifted and if being in mensa really changed anything important.
It would be really great to have an answer. I let your my email.

Hi! I just came across your site while looking for some information on Mensa Singapore. I’m interested in taking the test, but I’d like to know a few details on how it’s conducted. I hope you don’t mind answering a few of my questions, please!
1) What was the duration of the test?
2) How many questions were there?
3) Is the Raven test a standard for Mensa Singapore?

Um.. u do know that its a scam right? i took the mensa test as well as the high iq society test and i got 138 – 140 on those test.. i think it’s just a money scam man .. i mean .. look at the extorbitant fees for annual membership fees.. i rather take that money and buy ciggs.. booze and play poker and invest in my shares.. tyvm .
