Ever used a mobile phone that is transparent? Didn’t think so.

Bring on the LG Crystal, the world’s first transparent design mobile phone. To be launched on June 17, 2009, you can be one of the first to own this 3G mobile phone! And yes, it is also a wireless mobile phone.

From now to June 19, I am running the “Spot the Hidden LG Crystal” game here. Simply find all the 5 LG phones in the picture and send me your solution. One lucky Sparklette reader would win this 3G mobile phone!

There are 5 LG Crystal hidden in the sample picture above. Can you spot all of them? Enlarge the image for a better view!

Now, for the actual picture and contest details, please read on carefully.

There is one brand new set of LG Crystal to be won.

1. Spot the hidden LG Crystal in the picture below. There are 5 to be found.

2. Email your name, contact number and the answers to editor [at] sparklette [dot] net with the subject line “I want to win the LG GD900 Crystal!”. Your submissions may be in the form of either:

A) Image attachment – Circle all the 5 mobile phones in the picture. You may use an image editing application (for eg. MS Paint), or

B) Text descriptions – For eg. “Behind the cash register on the left” (in the case of the sample picture)

3. All entries must reach me before June 19, 2009, 11:59 pm (Singapore time). If there is more than 1 correct submission, the winner would be drawn randomly.

Note: Contest is open only to Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents. The winner would be contacted by LG to self-collect the phone. The winner is required to provide a review of the phone (a short write-up, blog post, video, etc).

Hidden Object Games – Download and Play!

If you’re geeky like me and love spending some alone time with the computer once in a while (or perhaps everyday), check out these Hidden Object Games. I love that they are not too addictive like one of those full-fledged games, yet fun enough to keep me interested when I need a break from work.

In a typical hidden object game, you are shown a picture of a cluttered place with a mass of different objects. Your goal is to find a list of objects from the picture. Intrigued? I have a sample of pictures here. Do play along and leave your answers in the comment box if you wish!

Gosh, look at all these yummies! Can you spot the fried chicken? Or perhaps the lollipop? This screenshot was taken from the Little Shop game series. In the game, you are given only 5 minutes to hunt for 15 hidden objects. Of course, there are several beautiful places that you would be poring over.

If the munchies are too much for you to handle, another hidden object game with beautiful graphics is Dream Day Honeymoon. What makes these games challenging is that the objects are always very difficult to spot. At times they may be partially hidden behind other objects. Or they may be of similar colour as the background, causing them to be camouflaged and well-hidden.

For more scenic backdrops, check out Hidden Expedition: Everest. Once you get the hang of it, you may even find your eyes getting sharper!

These games are ideal activities for families, friends and couples. Once in a while, my Mom would pop by and join me in hunting for these hidden objects. She’s mesmorised by the multitude of colours! That’s also the first thing that attracted me to these games; the beautiful and richly-detailed graphics!

There are dozens of these games available for trial downloads on the web. One particularly good source is Big Fish Games, where I have played most of the games listed.

Can You Spot the 100 Movies?

Okay I have decided since I wouldn’t have time to blog over these few days, I would post this instead.

Remember the digital composite image with the 75 hidden bands that I posted last month? Here’s a movie edition. And this time, it has 100 hidden movies!

Can You Spot the 75 Bands?

Virgin Digital created this awesome digital composite image some time back. There are 75 bands hidden in there. Can you spot all of them? This image has been floating around the internet for a long time. But here it is in case you haven’t seen it before. Be sure to enlarge and view it in full screen!

What a clever piece of marketing! I couldn’t keep my eyes off it the first time I got hold of this music brainteaser. It’s guaranteed to distract you from work so do this in your spare time! Do proceed with caution too — it’s super addictive!

My friend Fernando sent this image to me (thanks dude!). I ended up spending a few days poring over it and got around two thirds of the bands. Then I promptly forgot about checking out the answers until now. Yes, I have the answers. Are you ready for them?

Here are the answers. But promise me you would spend some time on the image before taking a lookie will ya? (The answers display just 70 bands because it is a cropped image.)
