Wellness is generally used to mean a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well-being, vitality and meaning. To improve the well-being of guests around the globe and promote balanced living, the renowned Westin brand has designed the Westin Wellness Escapes, a series of wellness retreats taking place at its hotels and resorts worldwide. Tailored and hosted by fitness and wellness experts from different regions, these retreats empower guests to unwind and treat themselves to a full menu of wellness-centric activities such as exercise workshops, panel discussions and healthy cooking courses. What a way to recharge, relax and rejuvenate!
In our region, Westin recently unveiled one of its well-being brand advocates, none other than television personality, speaker and author Jojo Struys. Jojo embodies the essence of the Westin Well-Being Movement, with much of her life revolving around wellness. She wrote a successful book entitled Guide to Wellness published in Malaysia preaching 10 different topics ranging from stress, self-esteem, anger to insomnia, and also hosted and produced her own show, Jojo’s Ticket to Wellbeing, featuring activities like yoga, tap dancing, naturopathy, horseback riding and capoeira.
With Jojo leading Southeast Asia’s first Westin Wellness Escapes this year, guests get to enjoy a series of wellness workshops, identify and combat daily stress, learn breathing exercises and simple yoga stretches for inner calm and peace of mind.
Catch Jojo in this video below as she demonstrates how mindfulness meditation and a positive mindset can help you be your best self. Check out Westin’s website to book your next wellness retreat package.
