that’s right, i went for the eye operation this morning. went there with only two hours of sleep behind me, and i was the first patient in tow. the whole operation was bloody, bloody. any photos that were taken would have been worthy of rotten.com. below are the gruesome details of the operation…
1. doctor applies numbing eyedrops to my left eye.
doctor then leaves to tend to other patients. busy, busy. she finally comes back about 20 minutes later to give me my injections.
2. she injects anesthetic right on my eyelid. it was very painful. i realised the numbing agent had already worn off after the 20 minutes’ wait. you would think it’s a tiny needle prick, but it was more of a very large prick that lasted about 10 seconds.
from this point onwards, all the work is done with my eyelid flipped inside out, on the inside of my eyelid.
