Since 2005, the annual Sentosa Flowers festival that takes place on Sentosa island in Singapore has been a flourishing success. Guests are greeted with brilliant colours and delightful scents of spring with inventive themes each year.
Into its seventh year, this highly popular event carries the theme “Enchanted Spring” for 2012, featuring educational trails and 16 colourful and interactive photo points for families to share enjoyable moments together. This being the Year of the Dragon, at least half the exhibits are inspired by the mythical creature.
Stretching across Imbiah Lookout, Merlion Plaza, Beach Plaza and Mount Faber, Sentosa Flowers 2012 showcases a massive 100,000 flowers and plants, including 800 species, varietals and cultivars.

Sand Sculpture
More highlights of Sentosa Flowers 2012 include its first ever Sand Sculpture, specially created for the event at the Imbiah Lookout.
A majestic sand sculpture – spanning six meters in length, three meters in width and three meters in height – is named “Dance of the Dragon”, brought to life by internationally-acclaimed sand sculptor JOOheng Tan.
The intricate detailing of the sand sculpture is evidence of the time and effort spent.
Awakening
The dragon theme continues with the “Awakening”, a concept derived from an olden tale where a famous painter brought a dragon to life by dotting the eyes. Here, you can pick up a giant brush next to this giant floral painting and give the finishing touches.
The majestic dragon comes alive with a glint in its eye!
Sweet Love
Head to Sweet Love, where flowers in full bloom line the Love Tunnel. Take a stroll with your loved ones through the tunnel and soak in the romantic scents from the beautiful blossoms.

Absolutely GORGEOUS flowers! I attended the Chelsea flower show in London last year and loved the experience of being surrounded by fresh flowers that I’ve never seen before. Truly splendid :)
