The Chanel building had an eye-catching black and white animation on the front of its building. It’s really nice.
Gucci? Pucci?
There’s Louis Vuitton, of course.
And the ultra beautiful christian dior building, complete with a star on top! It looked gorgeous!

Brussels Sprouts at The Pier@Robertson has plenty of yummy Belgian Beer! Its next to Chocolate Factory I think. Ask for Ben the friendly Beer Wizard if you decide to pop by on weekends. Interesting read. =)

Wow, I went to the same places as you! I thought the same thing — most, if not all, of the women in the Shibuya 109 building were SUPER HOT! I was with my girlfriend, but she didn’t mind that I did a little “people watching.” :)
I don’t know how you felt there, but with the way we were dressed, we felt like total geeks. Every woman there was tall, wore heels, and the fashion was cutting edge.
Did you notice that if the women had a boyfriend/husband, that he was dressed really cool as well?

lol just by reading your text alone I can already sense your excitement! The fashion was cutting edge all right. I anticipated it already so I made sure to wear something hip there. I did notice that the guys there in general dressed trendily too. They were hawt!

What do u mean by “made from scratch”? As in he made it on the spot when u ordered?
Looks like a shopping paradise. Expensive? :D

Made from scratch as in made in-house, rather than being pre-ordered from some bakery and heated up in the microwave oven.
Things are generally expensive much more expensive in Japan when compared to Singapore. But Shibuya isn’t an expensive place relative to other areas in Tokyo. Still, the clothes I bought from there cost much more than at home.

Your description of beer drinking is…is….tempting. Suddenly I feel thirsty ha.. They pay lots of attention to quality and packaging so it must have been a joy just shopping for things to buy/eat! Me? I enjoy shopping at the Jap supermarket in Singapore =)

I’ve been reading your blog as of late, and great insight on your trip. Sounds like your trip to Japan was very fun!! That shot of tequila that messed ya up, reminds me why I don’t drink tequila anymore. Like they say Beer b4 liquor never been sicker, liquor before beer, you’re in the clear.

Dennis: You said that right. It was a joy just looking at the pretty things alone. I’ve never seen food that was so beautifully decorated and arranged until I came to Japan.
Everything there looks great!
Willy: “Liquor before beer, you’re in the clear.” For real? That’s a very useful piece of information if it is true!

You can checked out the Brauhaus
(101 Thomson Road, #B1-13/14 United Square, tel 6250 3116), for a wide range of beer similar to the one you find in Japan. ;)

seems like there are a lot of libators here! your pix made me wish i was there though, v.
ahhaa, does one good once in a while to be reminded of the “no mixing” but then again, you don really care when there’s a good time to be had.
truisms aside, the relationship between puking/hangover and what you drink mainly derives from the impurities present inside those feverish liquids. having a black cat before any beer is definitely not gonna leave you in the clear, of course that’s the worst drink i cld think of.
come to think of it, it also depends on what you grow up drinking.

Hz: Okay! Thanks!
Aristocrat: Dude! I kept a lookout for the liquor you wanted but didn’t see it anywhere. The brand Suntory was available in abundance though. And oh, Black Cat sounds yummy.
viswali: It is! I haven’t heard of a single person who went there and didn’t love it.

The food looks good…how are the prices there in general? I heard of how expensive eating out is over there and people were recommending me to grab bento sets @ supermarkets and cup noodles if I ever go! Hmm, not my idea of a holiday if I’m eating cup noodles every day!

Yeah everything in Japan food, transportation, shopping is more expensive than most places. Someone told me that Tokyo is the most expensive place in the world to live in!
Like you, I hate having to restrict my spending when I’m on holiday; I tend to splurge. So short-term holidays are fine.

in response to expensive, Tokyo is home of the most expensive cup of coffee!!!

I have to disagree about Tokyo being expensive. I think the prices are about the same as they are here in the USA. The only thing that is definitely expensive is real estate in Tokyo.

The tiramisu sure looks divine. Talking about beer, you may wish to check out the Original Singapore Walk’s Tipple Exchange walk. I went for it earlier this month, and you are one of the first person I thought of who would probably like it too. Here’s my post on it.

Beautiful site !!
Thanks for visiting Tokyo + Our parade :-)
Once my Singaporean friend visited me
and I took him to Tokyo Disneyland.
