McLobster Sandwich: Does It Exist or Is It Just a Myth?
For reasons unknown, the Twitterverse is suddenly abuzz with chatter of the legendary McLobster. Some people claim that they have seen, even tasted the elusive sandwich.
With some sleuthing on the interwebs (now you know what I spend my time googling), I uncover some sightings of this mysterious lobster roll.
Apparently, the McLobster is only available in New England and the Canadian Maritimes for about two months in the summer.
The sandwich costs $5.99 ($7.99 for the meal). Rather cheap for a lobster snack!
With hot dog bun as the bed, this intriguing sandwich is filled with two scoops of Atlantic lobster meat, shredded lettuce and mayonnaise. Some say that it tastes pretty good!
Those are whole chunks of fresh lobster meat! Colour me dying to eat one.
So there you have it. Proof that the McLobster does exist.
What do you think of the McLobster? Would you try one? Are there any other regional McDonald’s items that you would love to sink your teeth in? Share with us in the comments!

Excellent detective work! Now we know McLobster is not as exusive as the Lochness monster!

Alas, it still seems so far away. I wonder where we can find a decent lobster roll here in Singapore.

McDonald’s in Maine also occasionally has the McLobster. :)

I love this post … I was just googling to see how much a lobster roll at McD’s costs (out of interest because it’s been a while) and this made me laugh. I am living in Nova Scotia and tomorrow my grandmother and I are going to have McLobsters for lunch. They are really delicious and worth a trip to the Maritimes :)

Thanks for coming back!
It’s so awesome that you get to eat it and tell about it! For some of us here, the McLobster is like this legendary roll. If any of the restaurants here try to create a similar roll, it would probably cost 10 times the price.

One bite? Well, you hit that correctly! Have been seeing this advertised, I love seafood and I will say I don’t eat at fast food restaurants much if at all. To top it off, I have NEVER craved anything from McDonalds.
Broke down and had to try this on my way to Toronto one evening. Waited ten minutes for it, it cost me $8. Plus change. Took it out to my car, had a look, I opened the package up to a dry toasted bun with an ice cream scoop sized blob of mushy watery salad with little bits of what could have been lobster. I was given no napkins, so I spead the mush over the bun with my finger. Had one bite, put it back in the package it came in, walked back into the restaurant, handed it to the cashier while uttering…”just wanted to let you know, this is disgusting!” I walked out And was on my way. One bite and for the rest of the evening, that was all I could taste. Lesson… Do not fall prey to commercials, especially McDonalds.
