Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has launched a collection of indulgent mooncakes. Baked fresh at the kitchen of award-winning Cantonese restaurant Jiang-Nan Chun, these hand-crafted creations will make great treats this Mid-autumn Festival.
S$55-59 for a box of 4
You can choose from eight irresistible baked mooncake flavours, including the hotel’s four new stars:
– Baked mooncake with home-made XO chilli sauce and mixed nuts
– Baked mooncake with mixed berries
– Baked mooncake with Dong Quai and single yolk
– Ying Yang mooncake
Baked mooncake with mixed berries
With a patterned filling of silver lotus paste, sesame and water chestnut, the Ying Yang mooncake is a low-fat, reduced sugar creation that makes not only an interesting, but a wholesome choice.
The slightly sweet baked mooncake with mixed berries – containing fresh cranberries, blueberries and cranberry lotus paste – is something out of the ordinary and guaranteed to leave an impression.
Baked mooncake with home-made XO chilli sauce and mixed nuts (not pictured)
With a mild herbal taste to the filling, the health-boosting mooncake with Dong Quai – a tonic that aids healing by improving blood circulation – will please traditionalists.
Made with a delicious blend of lotus paste, and Jiang-Nan Chun’s signature XO chilli sauce and mixed nuts, the result is a highly savoury and piquant surprise that will change the minds of those who don’t usually favour mixed nuts filling; it sure changed mine!
The mooncakes are individually wrapped and placed in a box with a red and gold toned cheongsam design. This elegant and sturdy package, with a metal clasp for added detail, is great both as a gift and as a keepsake.

Hurray its Mid-Autumn festival, but its more like Mooncake festival with all types of new & weird favors mooncakes.
Personally I love mooncake and can eat 4 or more per day, but many of those so called new /innovative mooncakes only look & taste unique on 1st few bites and really get sick of it after that – more like “junk cake”, with cheap coloring & flavouring. yakks…
What to do ?! as we’re in this “Materialistic & Brand consciousness society”. We’re living in the storm of gimmicks maketing with Brand & Price$ matter more, who care about quality, not to mention environmental friendly packaging/products.. Not surprisingly, most are ‘physical & mental unhealthy’ with so many illness…
By the way, just enjoy ourselves as we can, anyway we all will die 1 way or another. Just make sure that we don’t suffer too much & brings problems to others, as people will get sick of you -just like junk food..!!
