June 2007 – Post Highlights
- Singapore Jurong BirdPark – The Birds are Cute! – I revisited the Jurong Bird Park recently in more than a decade and thoroughly enjoyed my time there! Pictures were snapped and videos were taken. The king penguins are the cutest!
- sparklette.net – Best Posts Roundup! – a quick roundup of (what I think are) my best posts on this blog over the past 3-4 years. Includes travelogues, some Tomorrow-ed posts, as well as a few of my personal favourites.
- Icekimo – Eat Like an Eskimo! – on a food-tasting trip with the SMU gourmet club, we paid a visit to Icekimo. This ice creamery churns out unique flavours such as teh tarik, Horlicks, bandung and blueberry cheesecake at its café. Ever heard of meatball spaghetti ice cream?
- iX Conference 2007 – courtesy of the digital movement, I was part of the new media contingent at the two-day iX conference during which experts from microsoft, google, adobe, linden lab spoke about rich media. At the post-event party, there were some interesting bits and informal highlights amongst us bloggers and geeks.
- sparklette.net Name Cards! – I designed and printed Sparklette name cards to be given away to people I love and care about, as well as potential clients and business partners. The simple and minimalistic design was quite a hit! Is it pink or purple? Seems like people can’t decide!
- Gifts Galore at Microsoft PreMIX 2007! – I was invited to the microsoft premix event recently, again courtesy of the digital movement. (boy, these guys are on a roll!) microsoft silverlight was demonstrated to the web developers and designers at the event. Leon brown of microsoft gave me a free copy of the microsoft expression web software! Freakin’ awesome!

IHi Veron, came by to send you a virtual big and warm hug, with lots of TLC as requested.
But sorry, I avoid alcohol, so I shalln’t treat you to beer.

Thanks! I was treated to a beer already but I could still use the hug and TLC anytime. Thanks!
