One of the most memorable places you will ever get to spend a night in is Sato Castle Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan. This unique motel is known for its beautiful fantasy themed guest rooms. There are over 50 guest rooms here, each with highly customised look and feel.
After travelling to scenic Yilan, we got to spend some time checking out the neighbouring city of Taipei and spent a night at Sato Castle.
The facade of Sato Castle boasts the striking resemblance of an actual castle and is hard to miss from afar.
Cinderella room
The Cinderella room that we stayed in falls under the largest room category and has its own private parking space. Without a doubt, this is not only the largest, and also the most gorgeous hotel/motel room I have ever seen!

Upon opening the wooden castle doors to the room, you are greeted by the sight of this fairytale horse carriage, pulled by a pink and white carousel horse. To complete the Cinderella story, you will also find pumpkins and even a glass slipper in the room!
The amount of detail that goes into the room décor is just amazing, from the crystals on the horse, the satin ribbons hanging from the ceiling right down to the hidden mini fridge that fits seamlessly into the wall.
The shiny purple and gold horse carriage holds the luxury round bed. How nice it is to fall asleep sweetly in this fairytale land!
At the other end of the carriage is the flat-screen television. Notice that the ceiling is painted like a star-speckled night sky.
As for the bathroom, it is massive and boasts a jacuzzi (with television) and shower/sauna room (with powerful water spouts).
The Cinderella theme continues seamlessly with one wall displaying Cinderella’s old maid outfit and, on the other, her transformation into a princess.
All bathroom amenities are stored neatly in an adorable cabinet that is a mini replica of Sato Castle.
Guests who check in to Sato Castle often request for specific themed rooms. You can even check in and out daily to get a taste of different rooms each night.
