Goodwood Park Hotel has a knack for creating delectable mooncakes filled with fruity goodness. For Mooncake Festival 2011, the durian specialist is offering a range of snowskin mooncakes featuring different fruity themes.
S$50 for a box of 4 assorted flavours
Rating:
The four snowskin mooncake flavours are (starting from front):
– Lychee with lime marshmallow (new in 2011)
– Mango with pomelo
– D24 durian
– Cempedak
As always, the crowd favourites durian and cempedak impress with their rich, fresh fruity pulp. These two never disappoint.
S$25 for two pieces; S$45 for four pieces
Rating:
All the flavours from last year have made a return except for apple caramel. In its place is the lychee with lime marshmallow in snowskin mooncake. This tropical flavour combines the zest of limes with the sweetness of lychee purée and chewy lychee bits. A highly refreshing combo.
Giant Snowskin Mooncake
S$50

To completely satiate your durian craving, go for the limited edition Mega Mao Shan Wang in snowskin, a 12-cm yellow giant generously filled with luscious durian pulp. It is presented in an elegant gold silk drawstring pouch – great as a gift and a keepsake. I still have mine from last year’s giant longan mooncake!

Longan one was indeed good! I wonder why they don’t repeat.
Last night, mom bought durian mooncakes from The Cookie Museum. It was surprisingly good! Was skeptical at first. I thought they are supposed to do cookies?? The box is very exquisite too. It is very huge and European looking.
