Around this time every year, I would feature a series of uniquely beautiful Christmas trees in Singapore, dubbed the “Christmas Tree of the Day” series. This is the fifth year running, and the trees are prettier than ever! A sign of the economic recovery perhaps?

Sparking off the Christmas Tree of the Day, 2010 edition, is the tree made up of teddy bears from Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

Every Christmas, the mega department store at Ngee Ann City showcases Christmas trees made up of hundreds of cuddly bears in different colours. Check out these Takashimaya teddy bear Christmas trees from 2007, 2008 and 2009.

This time round the store has opted for a bright colour scheme of indigo, orange and white bears, illuminated with a soft white glow from within.

The store front also boasts a couple more beary trees.

In addition, you are welcome into the store with a giant bear-shaped entrance decorated with thousands of lights. Stunning!
